Who am I

As a seasoned cross-disciplinary professional specialising in public art and human-centred design, my passion is rooted in the profound impact of storytelling on society, its ability to bridge divides, and its role in creating a sense of belonging through lived experiences.

In response to the pressing issues of biodiversity loss and the loss of empathy for one another, I operate at the dynamic intersection of art, design, ecology, biodiversity, and human experience within the built environment. My mission is to forge a future where nature and humanity harmonise, fostering a symbiotic relationship.

My mission is to forge a future where nature and humanity harmonise.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of navigating the social, cultural and environmental sectors; shaping cultural strategies, nurturing collaborations, and delivering monumental public projects. My ultimate aim is to uncover innovative ways in which design, culture, and climate intersect to enrich our lived experience, ultimately cultivating thriving cities and inspiring communities.

A cornerstone of my work is my keen understanding of the human and atmospheric conditions that shape the essence of a place. I firmly believe that by delving into the nuances of space, time, and place, we can craft projects that resonate with people on a profound and lasting level.

My aim is to uncover innovative ways in which design, culture, and climate intersect to enrich our lived experience.

During my journey I have honed my skills in design management and multidisciplinary team leadership landing me several creative leadership roles. In my current position as the Head of Design at DRIFT in Amsterdam, I provide creative guidance to a dedicated team, oversee strategy of future projects, curate and manage global exhibitions, and explore sustainable business practices. This role empowers me to apply my diverse expertise and drive positive change.

In my previous role as Associate at UAP, I was responsible for facilitating the design and delivery of creative outcomes for the public realm across Australia, Asia, North America and Middle East. Collaborating with clients, architects, developers, engineers, artists and creatives — my inter-disciplinary design approach and systems thinking ensured the aspirational vision of each project was delivered.

I firmly believe in the importance of collaboration and the exchange of ideas.

Working on projects of various scales and pioneering novel approaches that transcend time to leave a lasting legacy has been immensely fulfilling for me.

A fundamental pillar of my career is the sharing of my design philosophy with others. I firmly believe in the importance of collaboration and the exchange of ideas, which is why I engage in teaching, thought leadership, participating in community development initiatives, and publishing academic works. I strive to make a meaningful contribution to the broader design community and inspire future generations.
